Leah Marvin-Riley

Leah Marvin-Riley (she/her) grew up in Vermont, spending more time outside than inside. She first started to draw in little notebooks on hikes and sea kayak trips, always drawing the world she saw around her. After years of taking art classes and not thinking she was a "real" artist, she learned how to tattoo. The ability to share art with people and experience their stories through tattoos was special. But she has too many interests to focus on one thing so she now finds a balance between drawing, pottery, hiking with her perfect dog, growing watermelons, squash, and marigolds, watercolor, indigo dying, camping, climbing, singing, and the occasional tattoo. She also works as the policy director for the Colorado Treasurer and delights in sharing her annual moon calendar with all people, including lobbyists and bankers. Uproottattoo.com
